About Us

Intergenerational change

For over 30 years, Wai Ora has been dedicated to empowering whānau to reach their full potential through social services, training, and employment preparation, all within a supportive Christian and kaupapa Māori framework.

We uphold positive family values and honor the dignity of each person, recognizing that every individual has something valuable to contribute to their community.

Working with high risk youth and their families

Wai Ora’s social work unit has a focus on ‘medium to high risk’ youth aged 13-18 years through the provision of targeted and effective intervention services for themselves and their family.

We work in schools, Youth court and community.

We offer seminars to professionals

'Understanding and Managing Complex and Challenging behaviours'

and run courses for individuals managing their own challenges.

Supported Short Term Accommodation
