We often need support with small, one-off maintenance or improvement projects around our site — such as painting, fixing fences, minor vehicle maintenance, assembling furniture, or prepping spaces for new uses.

Love the outdoors or keeping things tidy?
Join our ongoing volunteer team to help us maintain the beauty and upkeep of our space. Tasks may include mowing lawns, weeding, trimming hedges, minor repairs, or caring for garden beds.
Even an hour a week helps us maintain a welcoming space for our residents, visitors, and tauira. 

Have a flair for organizing or cooking?
We regularly run fundraising activities such as hangi preparation and sales, garage sales, and community events. We welcome volunteers who can help with planning, setup, promotion, or simply lending a hand on the day.
Every dollar raised helps us continue our mission and meet the growing needs of our community. 

Our housing clients often need a little extra support as they work toward independence. If you’re compassionate, patient, and enjoy walking alongside people on their journey, there are several meaningful ways you can help:

Transport to Appointments

Many of our clients don’t have reliable transport. Volunteers who can offer occasional rides to medical appointments, job interviews, or housing viewings help remove a major barrier to progress. Your time behind the wheel can help someone move forward in life.

Budget-Friendly Shopping & Cooking Support

Do you have a knack for stretching a dollar at the supermarket or whipping up healthy meals on a budget? Share your knowledge by supporting clients to plan low-cost meals, shop wisely, and cook nourishing kai. Help build life skills that promote long-term wellbeing and independence.

Friendship & Encouragement

Many of our housing clients have experienced isolation or disconnection for long periods. Just having someone to talk to — a friendly face, a listening ear — can make a world of difference. Whether it’s sharing a cuppa, going for a walk, or chatting about everyday life, your presence can bring hope and encouragement.
